What happens if my pet becomes ill whilst I am away?At Pet Perfect, we strive for the best in pet care. If your pet needs urgent medical care during my visit, I will endeavour to take them to your specified vets as soon as possible and keep you informed. If I notice anything strange about your pets behaviour, I will inform you so that you can make an informed decision. Please ensure that you have provided details of your vet (and any details of an out of hours/emergency vets) as part of the information form. Please also ensure that any medical conditions are disclosed on booking.

What do the home visits involve? All pet sitting home visits consist of: Food & Water refresh Litter tray refresh/outdoor toilet break (for dogs) Cuddles and playtime where appropriate Appropriate home tasks - such as cleaning up messes, moving post, bringing in parcels etc. Where possible, I will always try to update you during my visit with messages and photos. Hour long visits for dogs can include a short 10-15 minute walk. Please discuss this with me on booking/at the meet and greet.
-
How many dogs can you walk at once?My rates for all dog walking include up to two dogs at once. Any additional dogs would require a second booking.
-
What are the meet and greets? With each new booking, I offer a free 15 minute meet and greet. This should be booked alongside your original booking and be at least 24 hours prior to your booking. The meet and greet allows us to get to know each other and for me to meet your pet in their home environment. I will have the opportunity to ask any questions specific to your pet/home. It also allows for you to show me where food/litter etc is kept and show me any sneaky hiding places your pet may have in the house. It is also a great time for a key handover so that I can gain access to your property when the booking starts. If you have booked with me before, it may be useful to book the meet and greet time slot in to allow for a key handover.

Does my dog stay on the lead during walks?Yes. All walks are on lead as default. This would only change after discussion & agreement with the pet owner. Off lead walking will only take place in a secure environment or only once I am confident that the dog will recall for me.

What pets do you care for?As a Pet Sitter, I can care for a number of different pets. Traditionally, my services are booked for cats or dogs. However, I do offer a service for smaller pet visits such as rodents, birds and fish. Please get in touch with me to discuss your specific needs.

Are home visits suitable for dogs?Dogs and Cats are very different types of pets! Whilst cats are more than happy to be independent as long as they have food, water and the occasional cuddle, dogs can be slightly different. It is important to consider your dogs temperament, experience with being left home alone and need for toileting and exercise before booking my services for home visits. I would generally only recommend my hour long visits for dogs. I would also suggest that more than one visit a day is booked. It is likely that this service is not suitable for many dogs, however there will be certain dogs that this will be perfect for. My hour long home visit service for dogs includes a 15 minute walk if required so that your dog can get the exercise needed. My services can be booked more than once a day so this may be something to consider. Please get in touch with me if you wish to book a longer time slot so that I can adapt my schedule to suit if possible. Please note that I reserve the right to cancel bookings if I feel that the service is not suitable/safe for your dog after discussing with you. The animals safety and comfort always comes first.

Do you offer regular dog walking?Yes - I offer regular dog walking at a reduced rate. I offer: Short walks (up to 20 minutes) - once or twice weekly. Long walks (45 minutes) - once or twice weekly. Please visit the regular dog walking plans page to find out more and book. These are billed monthly and the subscription can be cancelled at any time.

Can you administer medication?I can administer oral medication. If your pet requires a different kind of medication please discuss this with me at the meet and greet and include the information in the booking form. For medication that requires more specialised administering, I can still help - however, I would ideally like to see you administering this to your pet first. This gives us both the confidence that the medication will be administered safely.
